36" Radius Platen-TW (2" X 10")

This platen is intended for grinding a very shallow hollow grind on mainly chef knives (known as the “S” grind). The intent is to relieve the sides so that food sliced will not cling and also reduce the cutting surface for a smoother cut.

36" Radius Platen made from 4140 DCF steel. They are also hard Chrome Plated and machined with an undulated surface finish to reduce friction and are offered in both 8" and 10" length. Both have 1/4-20 tapped mounting holes.

The 10” platen has two pairs of mounting holes, 5 1/4” and 9” apart intended for Brodbeck and TW grinders.
